drm / i915: reinicio del chip después de colgar gpu

Estoy ejecutando Debian Testing (última actualización 31/10/2017) y cuando reproduzco un video en pantalla completa a través de un navegador desde Twitch o iView, cuelga la GPU, por lo que la GUI está completamente congelada.

La computadora que tengo es un ' Up Squared ' con un Intel 505HD.

Sin embargo, el kernel todavía se está ejecutando, ya que todavía puedo acceder a él a través de ssh.

Esto es bastante fácil de replicar y se puede hacer cargando twitch en pantalla completa y después de unos 5 minutos se bloqueará. Algunas veces al principio y otras un poco más adelante.

Actualicé el kernel a 4.13, lo que no ayudó al problema.

Luego eliminé la opción TearFree. Creo que esto ayudó, pero luego tengo lágrimas.

Haz como root:

1. EDITAR /etc/default/grub
2. Encuentre la línea que comienza con GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUXy agregue i915.enable_rc6=0, dándole por ejemplo:GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="splash quiet i915.enable_rc6=0"
3. EJECUTAR: update-grub
4. REINICIAR
5. (paso opcional) EJECUTAR systool -m i915 -av | grep enable_rc6para verificar si ha configurado esta opción correctamente

Tengo Jumper Ezbook3 Pro, Linux Mint 18.3 y tuve errores similares: i915 0000: 00: 02.0: Restablecimiento de bcs0 después de gpu hang

En mi caso, tales errores ocurrieron cuando lancé tareas gráficamente intensivas como OBS studio. Como resultado de la caída de gpu, Xorg se congelaría por un segundo cada 10-20 segundos. Me di cuenta de que solo sucedía cuando la computadora portátil funcionaba con batería.

Entonces, en mi caso, debe ser una batería defectuosa, que no puede suministrar suficiente jugo para la CPU y la GPU completamente cargadas.
