Aquí está el resultado de una de mis máquinas Linux de puente: con brctl showstp, puede imprimir la lista de interfaces y sus parámetros de árbol de expansión involucrados en el puente. Allí, entre paréntesis, encontrará el índice de la interfaz de las interfaces constituyentes; eso es lo que se hace referencia en brctl showmacs.

Puede preguntar por qué la numeración del índice de la interfaz no es consecutiva. Bueno, originalmente, cuando inicias tu puente y le agregas interfaces, lo es. Luego, si elimina una interfaz, las interfaces que quedan en el puente no reordenarán sus números. Sin embargo, estos agujeros se llenan cuando comienza nuevamente a agregar interfaces al puente.
