Probé yum -y install openssl.

Quiero instalar OpenSSL para poder usar el protocolo HTTPS en CURL y diferentes aplicaciones.

openssl (que es el binario) está instalado, pero OpenSSL (que se requiere para el protocolo HTTPS no está instalado).

¿Alguna solución a este problema?

Quería compilar tomcat con soporte de OpenSSL y el código fuente de OpenSSL solo no era suficiente. Intente instalar las bibliotecas de desarrollo de OpenSSL:

Solo para explicar de qué se trata: el desarrollo incluye los archivos de encabezado que permiten, como usted dice, compilar . Pero esto no incluye las bibliotecas mismas; eso también es necesario para vincular como parte del proceso de construcción. Al menos en algunas distribuciones, CentOS y Fedora son dos, por ejemplo, se dividen en dos paquetes: -desarrollo para y el otro variará. Su problema parece que curlno fue compilado con opensslsoporte. Puede confirmar comprobando qué protocolos curladmite.

Está claro que el error debido a seguir los pasos
