Primero, intenta
GTK_THEME=Adwaita abiword from a terminal. If that works,
GTK_THEME=Adwaita:dark abiword and see if you like that better.
Puede crear un .desktop
archivo y eso le permitirá hacer doble clic en el icono de Abiword o en un archivo de Abiword para abrirlo con el tema Adwaita:
