Conky cambió el conkyrc
formato a lua en las versiones recientes, el seamod original (y el 99% de todos los otros conkys) todavía tienen el formato anterior.
Afortunadamente, el usuario maxiwell en Github ya ha convertido el popular tema seamod para Ubuntu 16.04. Dado que askubuntu / Stackoverflow prefiere la fuente en lugar de los enlaces, aquí el conkyrc.lua

En Ubuntu Gnome 16.04, la actualización de maxiwell de seamod funcionó para mí (como se menciona en la respuesta de emk2203), pero siempre que edité el conkyrc.lua
para usar el tipo de ventana 'dock' o 'normal' y usar sugerencias de administrador de ventanas. Por ejemplo, los siguientes son valores de configuración clave para usar:

Reformé y bifurqué la actualización de maxiwell aquí . Tiene un archivo Léame con instrucciones sobre cómo instalar e iniciar automáticamente conky (con suerte debería funcionar con la mayoría de los entornos de escritorio Gnome 3.18+ con conky 1.10+). Mi versión también tiene correcciones para incluir un borde y un fondo semitransparente.
