El problema que estoy teniendo es que después de registrar en GNOME Shell 3.4.1el Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS.

Después de un corto período de tiempo (aproximadamente 0-2 minutos), el shell gnome deja de responder.

Pasar el cursor sobre la esquina / hacer clic en el botón de actividades no hace nada,
Windows se atasca (la aplicación responde pero el gnomo no)
Además, el Alt+ F2no hace nada.

La única forma en que sé cómo resolver este problema es ir al shell de Linux presionando
Ctrl+ Alt+ any from F1 to F6, iniciar sesión y reiniciar el servicio lightdm.

sudo service lightdm restart 

Entonces, la pregunta es ¿Cómo resolver el problema Gnome 3 colgar después de iniciar sesión?

Tuve problemas similares con Ubuntu 12.04 y Gnome 3.4. Logré minimizar la frecuencia de las heladas haciendo lo siguiente:

• Deshabilitar controladores de video propietarios
• Agregue ppa: gnome3-team / gnome3 a las fuentes y actualice
• También puedes intentar esperar 30 segundos. antes de iniciar sesión. Puede sonar tonto, pero creo que no todos los componentes están listos cuando se presenta la pantalla de inicio de sesión al usuario. (puedes culpar a Canonical por intentar engañar a los tiempos de inicio :))

Lo único que resolvió este problema para siempre, al menos en mi caso, fue actualizar a Ubuntu 12.10 y Gnome 3.6.

Solución alterna

Como se trata de una instalación flash, podemos crear un nuevo usuario.

1. Iniciar sesión desde terminal de texto

2. Agregar un nuevo usuario

   sudo adduser <username>
   

3. Agregar nuevo usuario al sudogrupo, oadmin

   sudo adduser <username> sudo
   

4. Vuelva a X e intente iniciar sesión con un nuevo usuario
