¿Después de la última actualización? Ubuntu 18.10 llegó a EOL el 18 de julio de 2019 ( fridge.ubuntu.com/2019/07/19/… ) y, por lo tanto, está fuera de tema aquí a menos que su pregunta sea específica para pasar a una versión compatible de Ubuntu. Sin embargo, su pasta se refiere a biónico? o 18.04 (18.10 es cósmico), entonces algo está mal, pero 18.10 está fuera de tema aquí ahora debido a EOL.

@guiverc Tengo el mismo problema con Ubuntu 18.04, que es LTS, por lo que este problema no parece ser exclusivo de ubuntu 18.10. Sin embargo, la solución temporal descrita en la respuesta de Aaron solucionó el problema.

Según el error 1843507 de Launchpad , el comentario n . ° 4 funcionó para mí, al menos temporalmente.

Actualización: desde el informe de error, esto parece afectar solo a aquellos que usan PHP desde launchpad.net/~ondrej

Actualización: Ondřej ya ha lanzado una actualización para su compilación PHP. Puede degradar libidn2-0 para que apt vuelva a funcionar:

$ wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/libi/libidn2/libidn2-0_2.0.4-1.1build2_amd64.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i libidn2-0_2.0.4-1.1build2_amd64.deb

Luego:

$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt upgrade

Y deberías estar listo para irte.

He hecho esto y startxtrabajado una vez. Luego, después de reiniciar, no puedo llegar al terminal. Sic. Es hora de saludar a Windows nuevamente. Tales fallas son inaceptables.

Hice esto y ahora parece funcionar, pero no tengo que reiniciar el servidor. Por lo que entiendo es temporal, si reinicio, el administrador de red no se inicia y permanezco completamente excluido de mi servidor, ¿puede confirmarlo? ¿Entonces que deberia hacer ahora? ¿Tengo que actualizar en los próximos días o no? ¿Cómo entenderé cuando se resuelva el problema y podré actualizar y reiniciar el servidor?

@gronostaj ¿Y Windows nunca falla? El tiempo de inactividad es inevitable realmente. Al menos con Linux puede deshabilitar las actualizaciones si la estabilidad es la prioridad.

Descargue este paquete libidn2-0_2.0.5-1_amd64.deb del repositorio de Debian en la máquina, luego ejecútelo para instalarlo en lugar del paquete de Ubuntu defectuoso.sudo dpkg -i /path/to/.deb

Experimenté el mismo problema en mi máquina. Pude conectarme a Internet a través de un cable de Ethernet y desplegar el paquete que @Mason Pawsey mencionó en su respuesta.

No estaba familiarizado con cómo hacer eso, así que encontré algo de ayuda de esta publicación de @ chili555 .

Pude degradar el paquete y arrancar como de costumbre. Sin embargo, todavía había una entrada en mi /etc/network/interfacesarchivo eth0, y esto me impediría conectarme a través de wifi. Así que entré en el archivo y comenté todo lo que estaba debajo auto eth0( en caso de que lo necesite más adelante ).

Después de eliminar la entrada y reiniciar mi computadora, todo estaba listo.

Espero que esto ayude a quien visite esta página en el futuro.
