Me estoy ejecutando en Ubuntu 16.04 con 4.16.3 Kernel, tanto en mi computadora de escritorio como en mi computadora portátil, cada vez que intento actualizar a un kernel más nuevo con UKUU falla la configuración del paquete y me devuelve este error (ejemplo, instalación 4.16.6) :

dpkg: error processing package linux-image-unsigned-4.16.6-041606-generic (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Y la única solución es eliminarlo, ¿cómo puedo resolverlo?

Para la compatibilidad con dkms de nVidia, bbswitch y compilación de caja virtual, utilice:

sudo apt install libelf-dev

Para evitar linux-headererrores de instalación más recientes , descargue: libssl1.1

Descargue los núcleos más nuevos que desee y ~/Downloadsdebería verse así:

$ ll *.deb

Kernels 4.14.xx, 4.16.xxy 4.17.rc(xx)todos comparten el mismo error durante esta última semana; 24-30 de abril de 2018.

Acabo de intentar 4.14.38esta noche y muestra los mismos errores 4.14.36y 4.14.37como se documenta en este informe de error .

Usar ukuu para instalar kernels anteriores a v4.16.3 requirió estos pasos

1. instale libssl1.1 desde https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/amd64/libssl1.1/download
2. instale los módulos de Linux correspondientes deb para el núcleo

Por ejemplo, para el kernel 4.16.7, tome el módulo Linux deb de

• http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.16.7/

El núcleo que viene con Ubuntu 18.04 tiene problemas de brillo para mi computadora (Lenovo IdeaPad S400). Esto se resolvió actualizando la versión del kernel.

Funcionó perfectamente.

El problema que he estado experimentando con la última serie de núcleos de Linux (es decir, después de K4.16.3>) es que los archivos "linux-image.deb" NO están firmados. Es la falta de archivos binarios firmados lo que está causando todos los problemas, es decir, no se instala, el sistema simplemente falla en cualquier intento.

La única solución IMO es retener y esperar pacientemente la próxima versión principal del kernel, es decir, K.4.17 o incluso K5.0 con la esperanza de que los archivos linux-imge.deb necesarios incluyan la firma de clave necesaria y, por lo tanto, se instalen sin ninguna dificultad. .
