Xdmx: error fatal del servidor, no se pudo abrir la fuente predeterminada 'fija'

La idea básica es: si tengo dos computadoras portátiles con Linux: mi computadora portátil principal y la segunda computadora portátil. Instalé Xdmx en ambas computadoras portátiles. Luego ingreso en mi computadora portátil principal desde la segunda computadora portátil y luego ejecuto el comando en la sesión ssh:

startx -- /usr/bin/Xdmx :1 +xinerama -display :0.0 -display localhost:10.0 -norender -noglxproxy

cuando ejecuto el comando

startx -- /usr/bin/Xdmx :1 +xinerama -display :0.0 -display localhost:10.0 -norender -noglxproxy

Tengo un error fatal, ¿cómo lidiar con eso?

Traté de agregar -ignorebadfontpaths, pero luego las dos pantallas se volvieron negras.
