¿Cómo puedo ver (en mi pantalla local) emacs (y otras aplicaciones gráficas) ejecutándose en un VPS?

El VPS ejecuta CentOS 6.x

Parece que esta publicación es muy relevante, pero ni -Y ni -X funcionaron. (Como confío en el servidor remoto, pero siempre prefiero la seguridad más estricta si es posible).

En respuesta a la ayuda de Richard E. Silverman en la publicación original, a continuación enumero la salida de -vv:
