Tengo una dirección IP ESTÁTICA en mi red.
Puedo hacer ping a uno de los servidores de Google:

Debo señalar que estoy detrás de un proxy, pero eso no debería afectar la no resolución de nombres. Tampoco puedo resolver el nombre de mi proxy.

He pasado un par de horas tratando de descubrir las posibles causas de este problema, pero por lo que he leído y probado hasta ahora, todo parece normal (ya que en lo que la gente ha sugerido en otros hilos ya está bien / existe en mi máquina), excepto que no tengo un archivo /etc/named.conf ni tengo un archivo /etc/resolv.conf. Podría crearlos (¿cómo sabría qué poner?) Pero no creo que eso resuelva el problema. Sugerencias?
