¿Hay alguna manera de verificar si una cadena en JS es un solo emoji?

La pregunta es simple: tengo una cadena str, ¿cómo puedo verificar si strhay un solo emoji y nada más? Además, preferiría no usar otra biblioteca.

Partido "🍎", "⛹🏿‍♂️", "3️⃣"pero no "🍓a", "𝕒","🍌🍀"

Tengo problemas para encontrar una solución, pero aquí hay algunas cosas que he probado hasta ahora:


Intento de solución 1: jugar con las longitudes y el ...operador

Aprendí que los emojis ocupan más de un byte, algunos incluso ocupan 4 bytes o más ... y podemos medir eso a través de la lengthpropiedad de la cadena :

Luego descubrí que el ...operador tiene esto en cuenta y separa correctamente los emojis en la matriz; entonces pude ver la lengthpropiedad de la matriz resultante y detectar si eran diferentes.

if (str.length !== [...str].length) {

  // is not emoji

Pero esto no comprueba otros caracteres de varios bytes, como 𝕡cuya longitud es 2. Además, algunos emojis todavía se separaban de una manera extraña.


Intento de solución 2 - expresiones regulares, expresiones regulares

Por supuesto, la expresión regular sería algo a tener en cuenta, pero aún no he encontrado una solución viable.

La expresión regular de esta respuesta\u00a9|\u00ae|[\u2000-\u3300]|\ud83c[\ud000-\udfff]|\ud83d[\ud000-\udfff]|\ud83e[\ud000-\udfff] funciona perfectamente para detectar si una cadena tiene algún emojis, pero aplicada a mi situación produce muchos problemas. Aquí están mis pruebas:

Parte A - Sin inicio / final de la expresión regular de cadena ( ^y $)

  • 2A.1 str.match(regex) es muy inconsistente, descompone algunos emojis y otros inutilizables. No veo una manera de averiguar si incluso contiene caracteres que no son emoji o si contiene más de un emoji:

¿Hay alguna forma de evitar todo este desastre de emoji / unicode / regex? ¿Son las bibliotecas / apis la única forma? ¿Cómo lo hicieron?

Personalmente, creo que mantener una expresión regular no es una muy buena idea, a menos que la esté generando a partir de la especificación Unicode . Sin embargo, ya hay bibliotecas que lo están haciendo. Ver emoji-regex y emoji.json .

Hay un tiempo y un lugar para las bibliotecas. En mi humilde opinión este es uno de ellos. El costo de mantener una dependencia con sus versiones y tamaño de archivo parece más que compensado por tener a alguien más que resuelva este problema tan complejo por usted.

Usando esta biblioteca: https://github.com/foliojs/grapheme-breaker intente esto:

y la longitud debe devolver 1.

Los emojis se especifican en UAX # 51. La propiedad \p{Emoji}debería funcionar, pero no funciona.

Hazlo de la manera difícil. Parse emoji-*.txt:
