Obtener índice seleccionado de UITableView

Quiero tener el índice seleccionado para UITableView. He escrito el siguiente código:

NSIndexPath *index = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:1 inSection:0];
[tableView scrollToRowAtIndexPath:index 
                 atScrollPosition:UITableViewScrollPositionTop 
                         animated:YES];

Esto siempre funciona para el primer artículo. Quiero tener un índice seleccionado enindexPathForRow.

Si permite múltiples selecciones, considere usar: - (NSArray *) indexPathsForSelectedRows

En didSelectRowAtIndexPath, configure una interfaz declarada NSIndexPath como la ruta de índice devuelta. Luego puede desplazarse a esa variable. Si necesita ayuda, comente y puedo darle un código de muestra.
