¿Convertir un archivo NetCDF a GeoTIFF usando GDAL?

Tengo un archivo NetCDF que contiene datos sobre la cantidad de días de lluvia en el Reino Unido. Me gustaría convertirlo en un GeoTIFF, pero no puedo obtener GDAL georreferenciando correctamente. Ver los vertederos de gdalinfo a continuación.

Quiero un TIFF de banda única que muestre la variable "raindays_tmean_abs". Las variables "lat" y "lon" parecen tener valores min / max sensibles para colocar los datos en el Reino Unido, pero cuando lo convierto con gdal_translate termina en la costa oeste de África.

Hay una advertencia acerca de que la primera dimensión no es una dimensión "Tiempo o vertical". Leí que gdal espera que los datos estén en un cierto orden, por lo que tal vez este sea el problema, pero no sé cómo modificarlo.

¿Intentaste convertirlo con gdal_translate?

Normalmente debería funcionar utilizando una de las dos posibilidades:

Primera solución: extraer cada subdataset manualmente

gdal_translate -of VRT NETCDF:"RainDays1_1961-1990_LTA_25km.nc":raindays_tmean_abs output_RD.vrt

Segunda solución: deje que gdal extraiga los subdatasets automáticamente

gdal_translate -of VRT -sds RainDays1_1961-1990_LTA_25km.nc output.vrt

La segunda solución extraerá todos los subdatasets para separar los archivos.
