¿Cómo modificar una actualización en Oracle para que funcione más rápido?

Tengo esta consulta:

El problema que tengo es que esta consulta tarda mucho tiempo en ejecutarse. No sé si es posible ejecutar esto en paralelo, o sería más fácil actualizar un cursor en una función de canalización.

¿No ..AND EXISTS (SELECT NULL..siempre devolvería falso? ¿Tendría esto ..AND NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1..más sentido?

@Annjawn Hola, de acuerdo con este forum.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=353014 NULL o 1 son solo nombres "simbólicos" (nunca se usan fuera de la sub-selección).

Sí, lo son y soy consciente de eso. ¿Pero no es lo que pregunté? SELECT NULL...es simplemente confuso y no debe usarse (a menos que esté usando a UNION).

¿Intentaste agregar un índice fee_schedule (universe, fund_id, feetype_name, breakpoint_type, breakpoint_qty, low_breakpoint_amt)? Tal vez uno encendido universe, fund_id ya sea lo suficientemente bueno como para convertir ese FTS en un escaneo de índice.

Supongo que su FEE_SCHEDULEmesa es mucho más pequeña que la FEE_SCHEDULE_HISTORICALmesa, por lo que es posible que desee explotar EXISTSun poco más. Sumergirse en la FEE_SCHEDULEtabla fila por fila puede ser una operación relativamente barata en comparación con unirlo a todas las filas en el FEE_SCHEDULE_HISTORICAL.

Dado que la ETL_FEE_SCH_TMPtabla es el FEE_SCHEDULE_HISTORICALmenos FEE_SCHEDULE, en realidad puede realizar la actualización con solo un par de EXISTSdeclaraciones, sin todas las uniones y ahorrándole la molestia de crear la tabla temporal. Realmente no necesitas la tabla temporal.

Creo que vale la pena echarle un vistazo:
