PostgreSQL: error de SYSCALL SSL: EOF detectado

Primero, busqué y encontré varias publicaciones relacionadas con este error, y la mayoría de ellas apuntan a un problema de RAM o un problema de SSL, intenté superar la posibilidad de SSL agregando sslmode = disabled en la línea de comando:

 psql -U waypoint -d waypoint -W -c "alter table telemetria_data.historico alter clase type smallint, alter valor type real[], alter power type smallint, alter voltaje type real;" -h localhost -v sslmode=disable

Pero apareció el mismo mensaje:

SSL SYSCALL error: EOF detected
connection to server was lost

Con respecto al posible problema de memoria, no sé cómo solucionarlo.

La estructura de datos es la que se describe en esta pregunta y, como puede encontrar, esta sería una consulta muy larga para completar la tabla de alteración completa sobre todas las tablas heredadas.

Se cambió el comando a (debido a las recomendaciones de @ Daniel Vérité):

El problema en realidad cambió a lo siguiente:

Cambió la configuración a:

checkpoint_segments = 100       # in logfile segments, min 1, 16MB each
checkpoint_timeout = 30s        # range 30s-1h

Y llené el disco duro :( Incrementé generosamente los checkpoint_segments, pero no verifiqué primero el espacio disponible. Afortunadamente, estoy probando este procedimiento en un entorno que no es de producción. Por lo tanto, es posible que tenga que clonar el servidor de producción una vez más, ¿O hay alguna forma de liberar el espacio temporal utilizado, que ahora se está desperdiciando?

Parece un accidente de fondo. Puede ser una condición de falta de memoria. Verifique los registros del servidor postgresql, y si el sistema operativo es Linux y el asesino OOM está habilitado, el kernel se registra en el momento de la falla.

Supongo que está ejecutando PostgreSQL en AWS. Si es así, debe identificar esto en la pregunta y las etiquetas.

El último proceso mencionado en el volcado del kernel es, de hecho aws, parece una apuesta segura

Con respecto a PostgreSQL, esto solo implica una falla de conexión

En cuanto a problemas para disparar lo que está desencadenando oom_killer de aws, tienes dos opciones ...

  • Baje work_mempor debajo del umbral que desencadena oom_killer. Cualquier consulta que se planifique de manera diferente en función de la diferencia en la memoria o que sea más lenta es la que lo detiene.
  • Establezca log_statementy lea los problemas de las últimas consultas antes del bloqueo de memoria insuficiente.
