Tengo una bicicleta de carretera que planeo revisar completamente pronto. Con los años, y con varias bicicletas, he revisado casi todos los componentes, pero nunca he logrado hacer esto para una bicicleta completa, de principio a fin.

¿Existe una secuencia óptima para una revisión de la bicicleta? O importa?

Por lo general, empiezo quitando un marco hacia abajo. Dejaré los cables encendidos si no voy tan lejos, pero al menos desarme los auriculares y saque el BB. Nunca he tenido pedales que requieran una reconstrucción, pero creo que lo haría después de volver a poner las bielas.

Comienzo con una comprobación básica de M: lo que está mal con la bicicleta. Haz una lista de las cosas que debes hacer. Eso significa una inspección minuciosa del cuadro en busca de daños / grietas: si el cuadro es una escritura, la bicicleta solo es donante de piezas y se despoja.

Comienzo eliminando todos los bits defectuosos y decido si serían útiles después de una reconstrucción o si necesitan reemplazo.

Una vez que todo está fuera de la bicicleta que no funciona, hago un juicio sobre si vale la pena arreglarlo. Evite hundir mucho tiempo en una bicicleta si es marginal. Hay muchas bicicletas por ahí, y aunque el sentimentalismo y la historia ayudan a mover el límite, aún debe ser selectivo.

Trabajar en cada subsistema por turno. Es decir, haría la BB perfecta y luego pasaría a las bielas. Luego rueda trasera, cassette, desviadores, cadena.

Siempre limpie las cosas antes de trabajar en ellas. Es más agradable trabajar con una bicicleta limpia. Entonces, primero haga las partes sucias, es decir, la transmisión, los cubos de las ruedas, el eje de las ruedas, etc.

Deje los detalles finales hasta más tarde. El sillín, el bartape, los reflectores, los cables internos para frenos / palancas de cambio y los frenos están hacia el final de la secuencia.

Finalmente, prueba la bicicleta. Debe conducirlo durante unos minutos, primero despacio, luego acelere y pruebe los frenos y los cambios.

Después de 4-6 semanas, también querrá ajustar los cables de freno y palanca de cambios, ya que se acoplan con el uso.
